Your Merzouga Desert Tour starts in the morning. We’ll drive from Marrakech to Ouarzazate in a 4×4. Along the way, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, which is 2260 m high. At panoramic viewpoints, there will be opportunities to stop and take photos. Next, we stop at the Kasbah of Telouet. This place was once a grand home and the base for the strong Glaoui tribe. A side road crossing the Ounila Valley leads to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, where they will serve lunch. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Kasbah. Then, we’ll head to Ouarzazate for the night.

We go in the morning for the Todra Gorges. We'll pass the Oasis of Skoura, where many ancient kasbahs stand among the palm trees. Some are in ruins, evoking a sense of loss. From here, your Merzouga Desert Tour takes you through Kela’a M’gouna, the Valley of Roses, to the Dades Gorges. We plan to have lunch here. In the afternoon, the trip continues to the Todra Gorge for the second night.

After breakfast, take a relaxing stroll in the Tinghir palm grove. Then, drive to the Merzouga dunes through the Ziz Valley and the Oasis of Tafilalet. You can stop in Erfoud or Rissani for lunch along the way. Upon arriving in Merzouga, you can take a camel ride in the afternoon. Spend a couple of hours climbing the Erg Chebbi dunes, reaching the summit at 250 meters. Enjoy the sunset from the top. After sunset, we will spend the night in a nomad tent, which will also serve as the venue for dinner.

Wake up early to see the sunrise. The colors of the dunes and the shadows create an amazing view. The return to Merzouga on camelback takes about two hours. Once there, it is possible to freshen up under a shower at a local hotel. Your Merzouga Desert Tour goes to the Draa Valley. First, you’ll pass through Tazzarine, a village shown in the film ‘Babel.’ Then, you’ll stop at N’Qob for lunch. In the afternoon, we journey to Tanasikht. We drive along the old caravan route to explore the true Draa Valley. Here, we find towering palm trees and ancient villages. At the end of the afternoon, the Kasbah of Tamnougalte offers dinner and a night’s rest.

After breakfast, we'll visit the Kasbah. We'll head back to Ouarzazate via the Tizi-n-Tinfifte pass, standing at 1660 m. In Ouarzazate, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. This was once the home of the Pasha of Marrakech and represents the feudal era of the Atlas lords. An unpaved track leads to the Fint Oasis, tucked away in the mountains. This place was once a crossroads for caravans and offers a hidden delight. The return to Marrakech will complete your Merzouga Desert Tour at the end of the afternoon.
